The Boston University School of Communication is ranked in the top 5 best Communication Schools and has one of the oldest public relations programs in the country. The facutly and staff at the University provide students with real-world experience to take with them throughout their life's journey.
During her time at Boston University Dominique studied both the corporate and non-profit sides of public relations work.
We Do That.
The Boston University Programming Council is one of the largest programming boards on the BU campus. This board is responsible for the planning of events such as film screenings, dances, cultural events, sports rallies and more.
As a part of BUPC Dominique sat as the Communications Manager and Public Relations Coordinator. She filled her time with the writing of news releases, chatting with the local media and talking to the campus at large about upcoming events.
Office of Child Advocacy
The Office of Child Advocacy at the Children's Hospital Boston works to implement and promote child-specific programs throughout the Greater Boston area. Some of the campaigns include partnerships with local area television stations such as WGBH which airs the television show Arthur.
The OCA also works internally at the Hospital to recognize excellence among its staff members. During her time at Children's Hospital Boston Dominique worked a 9-month campaign organizing, promoting and putting on the David S. Weiner Award which recognizes outstanding achievement among a nominated staff member. Her work included administrative endeavors with board members and other hospital staff as well as promotional writing for news releases and articles.
